Great Day of Service: March 24
Save the date for the third annual Great Day of Service on Saturday, March 24. Plan to join us as we partner with others in the local faith community to live out our mission of transfoming lives by loving God, serving others and building Christian community while serving those around us. Last year more than 800 people provided about 2,500 service hours with more than 50 agencies around Orange and Durham Counties.

Project 5000: February 22-March 25
God calls us to feed the hungry, to serve our neighbors, to welcome strangers. Project 5000 is designed to make it easy to do just that. During Lent, families and individuals are encouraged to pick up a small box from the church to take home and fill with items from a specified list of foods. They will then return the filled box to the church for distribution to the hungry in Chapel Hill, Carrboro, Chatham County and Robeson County. The boxes of food provide emergency food for a family of four to eat for two days. The food will be distributed by the Inter-Faith Council of Social Service, Robeson County Church and Community Center and Chatham County OutReach Alliance. Pick up a box and shopping list (which you can download here) at church during Lent.

Holy Week: April 1-8
We hope you will join us during Holy Week, as we observe the final week of Jesus’ life with worship services on Palm/Passion Sunday, Holy Thursday and Good Friday. We will also hold an Easter Egg hunt for the children on Saturday and celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ with three worship services on Easter Sunday. Click on the link above to learn more.

Mozart Coronation Mass: April 15
On Sunday, April 15, at the 10:55 a.m. worship service, our Chancel Choir with orchestra and soloists will present the majestic “Coronation Mass” by W. A. Mozart as part of our post-Easter worship experience.

Church Retreat: April 27-28
Mark your calendars and plan to join us for our churchwide retreat, “Celebrating God’s World...Caring for His Creation,” April 27-28 at Camp Chestnut Ridge. The retreat will feature speakers, music, reflection and meditation time, and small group breakout sessions. It will explore the spiritual experiences of interacting with the beauty of nature, help us understand the interdependence of all things in creation and lead us to renew our resolve to be good stewards.
