Kim Patterson earned her bachelor’s degree from Western Carolina in English and drama and went on to teach high school for six years. After raising two sons, Kim started teaching at Binkley Preschool in the 3-year-old classroom. She has been the Director of UUMP since 1994. Kim supervises staff members and is responsible for health and safety issues, curriculum planning, financial issues, parent education, and the social, emotional, physical and spiritual development of the children. She is also an ex officio member of the Preschool Board and a member of University United Methodist Church. She lives in Chapel Hill with her husband, Jerry.
